I previously had a pair of the older RF-3s, 8inch woofers, connected to a 1975 McIntosh MA6100 solid state pre/power amp. I thought that I had the creme de la creme of audio hardware, until I plugged these badboys in. The soundstage, the audio clarity, the bass...everything was just so well defined. I can simply say that the audio is flawlessly balanced. If you're into bass heavy hip hop or rap, you won't be disappointed. The dual 10in woofers can seriously handle some really heavy thumpeage. I love all styles of music, but lately my tastes have gravitated towards blues, jazz, acoustic guitar, funk and rock. These speakers need to be auditioned at a high end home theater store with a few bluray live concerts with higher resolution audio.
